My name is Victoria Bruns, and I am your 2011-2012 Ohio FCCLA State President. I am from Anna High School in Anna, Ohio. Keeping faith, love, family, serving others, and having an open mind are my top five values which really describe who I am. My goal is to model these values in a positive way, to work toward being a role model to others, and to hopefully motivate them to have confidence in themselves and their ability to make a difference and reach their dreams. My involvement in FCCLA has provided me with many opportunities that have improved my leadership skills and broadened my thinking of the power of just one individual. I am looking forward to a great year with Ohio FCCLA!

Hello! My name is Amanda Meyer and I'm from Anna High School and I am excited to inform you that I will be residing as your 2011-2012 Vice President of National Programs. I have been a very active member throughout all 4 years I have been a member. All 4 years I have been in FCCLA, I have participated in STAR Events and have competed at State Leadership Conference each time. This coming summer, I will be competing at National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. The past two years and this coming year I have served as an officer of my chapter. I also completed my chapter degree, Power of One and Steps One and Two at Fall Leadership Camp. I also became certified as a Peer Leader through FCCLA's first Leadership Summit. Other than FCCLA, this year I was involved in SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), FTA, Muse Machine, Cross Country, and my school's musical production of "Good News". In my spare time, I love to play the piano, listen to music, hang out with my friends and family, snow ski, and go on vacations with my family where I water ski and tube.

I am Elizabeth Pleiman, your 2011-2012 State Vice President of State Projects.  I am looking forward to this upcoming year and all the challenges it will bring!  I am excited to design and implement a new State Outreach Project while also maintaing Ohio’s State Projects.  Getting members involved in our State Projects and our new State Outreach Project is a goal of mine for the 2011-2012 FCCLA year.  I hope you are excited as I am!  This year I competed in the STAR event, Illustrated Talk, and focused my project on childhood obesity and the epidemic it is becoming.  I did well in my category.  This includes receiving a gold medal at Regional Rally, a gold medal at State Convention.  I will also be representing our state as the National Qualifier for Illustrated Talk Junior. Besides my passion for FCCLA, you should also know that I will be a freshman at Fort Loramie High School.  I am active in my church, school, and community by working on community service projects.  I am also a member of the volleyball and basketball teams at my school.  Apart from these activities I love hanging out with my family and friends, and of course I love to go shopping!  I truly cherish every moment I get to spend with my family.  I may be young, but I appreciate all the support and encouragement my family gives me.  I am passionate about my values, beliefs and standing up for myself and others.  I look forward to serving you as a 2011-2012 State Officer.

Hello, my name is Jennica Wilson and I am your State Recording Secretary for 2011-2012. I am actively involved in my own school’s chapter and very much enjoy being involved in FCCLA. I love new experiences and being pushed to my limit. I believe FCCLA fulfills both of those. Along with FCCLA I am involved in Teen Institute where I am a youth board member, Mock Trial, Tennis, and NHS. I take a lot of pride in all that I have achieved in high school. After I graduate I plan to major in pre-law so I can get into law school and minor in English. I have a huge passion for everything to do with fashion and have way too many shoes. I love to cook, read, and spend time with my family. I am very honored to be one of Ohio’s State Officers and am looking forward to a great year!

Hello, my name is Natalie Shoen and I am your 2011-2012 State Corresponding Secretary. My family consists of my parents, an older sister, an older brother, two nieces, and a nephew.  If I'm not at home, I am in the band room or the Family and Consumer Sciences classroom.  I’m really active in the BHS Redmen Band by playing mallet percussion for the marching band, pep band, concert band, and wind ensemble as well as playing piano for the jazz band. I am captain of Bellevue High School’s Academic Challenge Team and I actively participate in the drama department at Bellevue High School. My favorite colors are purple, yellow, and orange.  One of my many hobbies includes writing poetry and/or band dancing

Hi! My name is Amanda Phillips and I am your 2011-2012 Vice President of Ohio FCCLA Endowment. I will be a senior in the 2011-2012 school year. My parents are Dan and Helen Phillips. I have two older sisters, one is a previous state officer from 2008. I have two cats, Spike and Jewel.  I plan to attend college and major in Math with a minor in secondary education so that I can be a math teacher. In my spare time I enjoy reading and listening to music.

I am from Benjamin Logan High school and I am the Vice President of Membership. In FCCLA I have been on the Relay for Life committee and I am currently running for a position on my chapters council. As an officer I have helped show fellow classmates what FCCLA is all about and encourage them to be more active.   In my chapter I have helped with numerous activates that our chapter has completed such as Mini Relay for Life, canned food drive, volunteering at Our Daily Bread, the local soup kitchen and also raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. I have competed in STAR events and have been on our Outstanding Chapter team for two years.   I have an awesome family that includes my parents and seven siblings!  I am so excited to be a part of this year’s Executive Council and meeting all of you!  Have a great summer!

Hi! My name is Lindsey Schneider, and I am your 2011-2012 Vice President of Public Relations. I like challenges, and I know this year will be full of them! I am ready to take on another set of opportunities through FCCLA. This year, I competed in a STAR event, and my Advocacy team will be competing at the National Leadership Conference. I also received my Power of One degree. Besides FCCLA, I am involved in band, choir, academia, scholastic quiz bowl teams, 4-H, and FTA. I attend St. Paul Lutheran Church, where I am an active member. I love to write, and I adore music and ice cream. My family and friends are very important to me, and I am so thankful for all their support. I’m also very passionate about sticking to my morals, and remembering to learn from my mistakes.

Hello, I am Robert Witherspoon and I am a state officer for Ohio FCCLA. I am the Vice President of Media Communications. I play football for Northmont High School. My goals for FCCLA this year are to: help increase awareness about Ohio FCCLA’s twitter and facebook page, make a video that helps to let new members know what FCCLA is all about, and to help my community through the means FCCLA provides.

Hi! My name is Kyle Grand and I am your 2011-2012 Vice President of Star Events. I have a very strong desire and determination  to succeed in life despite my disabilities from my genetic disease Ataxia Telangiectasia.  I have found that with FCCLA I can be myself and be accepted for who I am.  I participated for the last two years at Regional and State competitions.  This year I became a National qualifier for Chapter Service Manual.  I am very excited about my role with FCCLA this year as the Vice President of Star Events. I look forward to being a part of the team of State Officers.    I have been involved at school in National Honor Society, swimming, Spanish Honor Society, Volleyball, and Tech crew for the Choraliers.  I was also recently named student of the week by Channel 9, and had a brief interview on television.  I like to spend time with my family, play x box, watch sports, and watch movies. I have a passion for soccer and last year my dream of attending the World Cup was made a reality through Make a Wish Foundation and we went to the World Cup in South Africa.

Hello Ohio FCCLA! My name is Joe Sherman and I am your 2011-2012 Historian. I like challenges and I am committed to what I am doing in FCCLA. I am ready to take on the many opportunities this year in FCCLA. This year, I've competed in Outstanding Chapter Award and my chapter received a gold. Besides FCCLA, I am involved in band, and navy ROTC. My family and friends are very important to me, and I thank them for all the support they have given me throughout my whole life. I am also very passionate about being there for others in time of need and sticking to my commitments and responsibilities that I have. I am excited about this year and I am looking forward to all of the challenges that lie ahead of me.
